There are over 56 community health centres across Ontario. Each one is quite different depending on the population served and the needs of the community in which they are situated.

North Hamilton Community Health Centre:

  • Is a not-for-profit organization, funded by the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Local Health Integration Network. There are no fees for services.
  • Provides a wide range of health and related services and programs.
  • Is committed to health and quality of life for all. Our special populations are single-parent families, immigrants/refugees and seniors.
  • Addresses the special needs of our neighbourhoods and helps communities organize around issues of concern.

Community Health Centres are established through direct participation of the local community. The close involvement of the community in activities of the Health Centre is key to the ability to readily adapt and respond to the community's health needs.
