Volunteer

We are committed to providing access to community-based programs and creating opportunities for people to improve their health and well-being. Our volunteers play an important role in helping us to fulfill this commitment.

We have many different volunteer opportunities:

Program Assistants - we have lots of opportunities for volunteers to help in programs including prenatal classes, volunteer coordination and children's activities. Volunteers become involved with planning and running programs, games, crafts and snacks.

Pathways to Education - we need volunteer mentors and tutors to provide academic support and to engage in positive role modeling for high school youth during program time.

Special Events - volunteers participate by attending meetings and helping to plan, organize and assist at events. These events include community and information events at North Hamilton Community Health Centre or in the community.

Reception/Office Support - volunteers greet visitors, respond to general inquiries and provide clerical support to our staff.
