Open to people living with diabetes or those who are at increased risk of development of Diabetes.
Locations: North Hamilton Community Health Centre (438 Hughson St. North - 2nd Floor)

Goals of Program:
- To increase access to physical activity to those who may have previously had barriers.
- To provide supervision of goal setting and appropriate activities, resulting in increased participant self-confidence in performing activities.
Description of Program (activities, participants, etc.):
- The program provides:
- an hour of chair exercises, including a short warm-up, strengthening with resistance bands, and stretching
- a structured and supervised weekly cardiovascular and strengthening session
- an opportunity for people to learn skills from one another and gain confidence to continue when the program concludes
- All sessions are led by a certified Kinesiologist.
- Modifications are made for physical limitations, making this class great for people of any fitness level.
