2011-14 Multi-Sector Service Accountability Agreement

The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, the LHINs, and the Health Service Providers are each responsible for developing and fulfilling clear and achievable performance obligations, and to identify any risks to performance. All parties are expected to work collaboratively and cooperatively by establishing clear lines of communication and responsibility, and by working diligently to resolve issues in a proactive and timely manner.

The development of the Multi-Sector Service Accountability Agreement (M-SAA) between the LHIN and each local Health Service Provider (HSP) outlines the Provision of Services that must be performed over a multi-year time frame. It supports a collaborative relationship between the LHIN and the HSP to improve the health of Ontarians through better access to high quality health services, to co-ordinate health care in local health systems and to manage the health system at the local level effectively and efficiently.

In this context, the HSP and the LHIN agree that the provision of services to the local health system by the HSP will be funded as set out in this Agreement.
